When Emily contacted me to assist in planning their wedding, I was immediately enamored by her sunny disposition and Australian accent – she by far is the most “destination” client I have ever worked with!
Although busy planning her move to the United States to be with her love, Andrew, we enjoyed discussing her vision for their intimate Lowndes Grove wedding.
A small guest list, touches of pale blue and vibrant oranges, peach, and white, and personal family touches brought this elegant, understated affair to life on a warm July evening.
Guests arrived to an intimate, waterfront ceremony beneath the natural framing of historic oaks. Pre-placed on their chairs, they found a program and mini sweet grass fan to keep the heat at bay.
Floral design by Wimberly Faire brought Emily’s vision of vibrant, organic blooms to life. Accented by warm candlelight and lanterns, guests were seated at long, family-style tables. A cozy, ice blue lounge by Ooh Events framed the dancing area.
Patrick Properties provided delicious food, with modern takes on Lowcountry favorites. Emily and Andrew’s guests from near and far enjoyed the elegant, uniquely Charleston surroundings that Lowndes Grove is known for.
Along with a traditional cake cutting, Emily’s family brought in some of their favorite Australian sweets that guests were invited to take home with them in custom goodie bags!
Rounding out the night, Emily and Andrew set off to the scene of their nearest and dearest holding flickering sparklers, and a chariot (a Rolls Royce, provided by Lowcountry Valet) that sat ready to whisk them away to the beginning of their new life together.
Congratulations Emily and Andrew! What a tremendous honor it was to help you plan such a special celebration.
